WINTER 2014 PAYMENT DEADLINE

The Winter housing fees will be added to student’s BroncoDirect account on Monday, November 18, 2013.


Payment is due Monday, December 2, 2013. Failure to pay outstanding balances by December 2 will receive a late fee of $50.00 and have their meal plan suspended. Plus your classes may be dropped if you have an outstanding balance.


Financial Aid Recipients:
All financial aid recipients MUST make the payment for the amount not covered by your financial aid before December 2, 2013. If you are unsure of the amount you need to pay, please stop by the Cashiers Office or the Housing Office.

DO YOU HAVE A FRIEND COMMUTING?

Is your friend commuting? Wouldn’t it be nice if they lived on-campus and you could hang out more often? There are a few hall spaces available now for the fall and also starting the winter quarter. Talk to them about the opportunity to move in. If they are interested in living on-campus all they have to do is submit a contract online through the Housing StudentWeb.

NO LONGER ATTENDING CAL POLY POMONA FOR WINTER and SPRING

If you no longer attending Cal Poly Pomona for the winter and spring, please go to the Housing Office immediately to cancel your contract. Cancellation of your contract is not automatic, even if you are notified or were disqualified by the University. All students not attending Cal Poly for next quarter are responsible for submitting their cancellation request directly with University Housing Services. Checking out without prior approval does not release you from your contract and you will be held financially responsible for the remainder of the contract agreement.

Please note that the campus will be closed on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29 in observance of Thanksgiving. Below is a listing of the food venues that will be open.

We will need to enter these suites to do the following: sweep & mop floors, sinks, counters, stovetop, toilet, walls and cabinet fronts in the restrooms and the kitchen. We ask that you please remove all personal items from these areas, including any rugs on the restroom floors. If your suite or area is not ready for cleaning, it will not be done or rescheduled.

EMPTY SPACE IN YOUR ROOM/SUITE?

Please do not spread out into any vacant spaces. The Housing Office will continue to place new residents in available empty spaces and you may be receiving a new roommate/suitemate for Fall Quarter. The Housing Facilities staff will be cleaning spaces that have been vacated or have been vacant during the start of the quarter. If new residents move in and your belongings prevent our staff from cleaning or prevent a new resident from moving in, you will be assessed a charge.

DO NOT SET UP WIRELESS ROUTER

Setting up wireless router is currently NOT ALLOWED in the Residence Halls/Suites. If you setup wireless router, the internet in your room will be turned off.

ROOM CHANGE REQUESTS 11/18 (8am) - 11/20 (8am)

Interested in changing rooms within your building or to a new building, OR swapping rooms with another student? Room change/swap requests will be accepted online on the Housing StudentWeb. Spaces will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis, so don’t wait. Room changes granted are based only on availability (no guaranteed approvals). Room swaps must be requested by all residents willing to make the swap/move. All APPROVED room changes/swaps will be informed by 2pm on Thursday, December 5, 2013. Be aware that you MUST be available to make the room change/swap between 6pm and 10pm (with RA on duty) on Friday, December 13, 2013.

  • The online request form OPENS at 8am on Monday, November 18, 2013.
  • The online request form CLOSES at 8am on Wednesday, November 20, 2013.

MEAL PLAN CHANGE REQUESTS

Residents interested in changing their meal plan for the Winter must submit their request online through the Housing StudentWeb https://housing.csupomona.edu/Studentweb/ starting Monday, November 18, 2013.

  • All requests must be submitted before 5pm on Friday, December 13, 2013.
  • Don’t wait! It takes time for you request to be approved and updated in your BroncoDirect. Remember winter housing fees are due December 2 …so don’t wait another day! Submit your request starting Monday, November 18, 2013.

WANT TO KNOW HOW MANY MEAL POINTS YOU HAVE LEFT?

There is an easy way to look how many meal points or meals you have remaining. You can report a LOST card. If you lose your Bronco ID card be sure to report it immediately to protect your meal points from being used. All you have to do is Register with “Manage My ID”. It is a quick process to complete. Go to the following website and click on Manage My ID. http://dsa.csupomona.edu/uhs/campus_dining.asp
