| Gather input on uses of the web and reccomendations for improved functionality. Determine what static and dynamic info is be delivered. Identify various constituency groups who have reason to use the CPP web site. Develop surveys to collect data from identified user groups. Conduct focus groups Establish goals and objectives of the site and set priorities. |
Review web sites from other CSU campuses and from competitive campuses. Define the user experience in terms of interface and navigation. Create information and visual design elements that define the look and feel of the page.

Define technical issues related to web authoring, shared resources and training. Implement a more effective search engine. Identify content integration technologies that allow for easier creation and maintenance of content for web pages. Develop strategies for migration to the new site. |
| Implement an information architecture that will be more logical and useful to the various Cal Poly Pomona constituencies. Apply a consistent design and identity across the top two or three levels of the CPP web site. Identify tools and develop templates to allow for easier maintenance and coordination of web publishing. Create a CPP wordmark that can be used to identify web pages as part of the overall Cal Poly Pomona web site. |
