Dr. Roy H. Saigo, President
St. Cloud State University
720 Fourth Avenue South
St. Cloud, MN 56301-4498
Dear Dr. Saigo,
Thank you and all of the WASC Visit Team for your hard work and insights that have been reflected in the Teams Draft Report. Please find enclosed our "Corrections of Errors" response. In the spirit of the new WASC accreditation process, the campus community was pleased to engage with your team in a constructive dialogue during the July extended pre-visit and the October accreditation re-affirmation visit.
As you know, Cal Poly Pomona is a diverse community committed to providing students with high quality education, ensuring that they have the tools necessary to become successful members and leaders of our society. Our commitment to students and their future led us to undertake an experimental Self Study and employ it as a vehicle for self-reflection and active engagement of the campus community in discussions about the educational process and the cultural, social and political life of the campus. The University has undergone significant evolution over the last decade and, understandably, we do not have a consensus yet about every issue in our campus life.
As a community that has shown tremendous loyalty to this institution, we plan to continue the process of self-reflection and engagement for the benefit of our students, the campus, the CSU, and higher education across the State and the Nation. Your collegial suggestions and recommendations are highly appreciated and will be the subject of serious study and discussions across the University.
Sincerely,
Bob H. Suzuki
President
