URP Alumni

President Ortiz has set aside the recommendations of the Prioritization and Recovery committee (as of December 2007). These recommendations would have eliminated the College of Environmental Design and moved the Department of Urban and Regional Planning to a college of science. The College of Environmental Design remains the home of our department. Background information on the recommendations for restructuring that were set aside is provided below.

The department seeks the ongoing involvement of alumni. There are many opportunities to get involved, from the Professor for a Day program, to mentoring students, to advising us on ways to improve our curriculum.  The Urban and Regional Planning Alumni Chapter is certified and active. Paul Kuykendall (1994), Marla Griffin (2003), Mitra Mehta (2002) and Scott Arnold (2002) are serving on the board. Please contact Paul at pkuykend@lakewoodcity.org.

We enjoyed seeing you at our receptions at the 2006 and 2007 CCAPA conferences.
