Cal Poly Pomona

Why the UET Needs Support

In a fast-changing world, higher education is essential in preparing students for lifelong learning, leadership and careers. An educated community benefits everyone. Research has shown college-educated people receive higher earnings each year, create a larger skill-base for employers and businesses, and have a significantly reduced need for public assistance.

Cal Poly Pomona offers a high-quality education at a much lower cost than that of comparable institutions across the nation. For a California resident attending full time, yearly fees (less books and living expenses) are approximately $2,900. University of California students pay more than twice this amount, while students at private universities could pay more than $30,000 per year. At Cal Poly Pomona, a quality education is still affordable and accessible.

But we need your help.

Most people don't realize while Cal Poly Pomona is a state university, it is not fully state supported, but rather state assisted. One of every three dollars in the budget must be generated from off-campus resources if the university is to meet its academic mission.

Cal Poly Pomona has touched many lives by educating students and providing employment to thousands in the region. The university's reach extends beyond the school's borders - numerous programs are designed to help the greater community at large, from redesigning a blighted neighborhood to providing fun, affordable summer youth camps. With the support of people like you, C al Poly Pomona can continue to serve higher education and the community.

Your support makes a difference.
