The United Business Student Senate (UBSS) is one among the eight academic councils found within the California State University of Pomona system, and serves over fifteen student organizations within the College of Business. Through its support of business clubs and our shared dedication to personal and professional development, UBSS plays a vital role in facilitating the success of Cal Poly students.

     Among the most valuable experiences a student can have at Cal Poly is the opportunity to hold a leadership position in a student organization. UBSS and its member clubs provide Cal Poly Pomona students with opportunities to participate in organizations in a “learn by doing” setting where they learn and gain experience in a safe and well supported environment. This affords the chance to plan, delegate, motivate, work within a budget, and achieve objectives – in short, to manage an enterprise.

     Analogous to professional businesses around the world, UBSS implements the values of community, cooperation, commitment, communication, and consistency with its affiliates to an extent that enriches all who participate in UBSS.
