Thuan K. Nguyen is currently a Professor of Chemical Engineering at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He received a B. S. degree (1974) from Cal Poly Pomona, a M.A. (1975) and Ph.D. (1979) degrees from Princeton University, all in Chemical Engineering. In Fall 1985 he was a Adjunct Professor at Cornell University. In Summer 1986 and Spring 1992 he was a Research Associate at Cornell University working with Professor Avedisian, C. T.
Professor Nguyen's interests are in the transport modeling and computer simulation of chemical processes. He is currently involved in industry-sponsored Engineering Interdisciplinary Clinic projects at Cal Poly Pomona. These projects are defined by industrial sponsor and the project work is accomplished by student teams from different majors under the supervision of a faculty advisor.
