Maze.exe: This program creates a maze in which you
must navigate a ball through.
Blast.exe: This program is an asteroids game. You
can play one-player or two-player. If you experiment with this game (i.e.
press other keys) you may find a few surprises.
Programs written in Visual Basic:
Solitaire.exe: This is a program in which you
must eliminate as many buttons as possible. Here is a solution
that eliminates all but two buttons. A solution that eliminates all but one
button does exist, but that's up to you to find ;)
Ball_Blaster.exe: In this program you try
to shoot all the colored balls with your "guns." Each gun has only
one shot.
Minesweeper.exe: This is an imitation of the
game Minesweeper included with Windows.
Tetris.exe: This is an imitation of the original
Tetris. The left and right arrows move the piece left and right; the up arrow
rotates the piece, and the down arrow drops the piece to the bottom. The object
of the game is to fill up a row with pieces so that the row disappears.
Asteroids.exe: This is a remake of the "old-school"
arcade game Asteroids, with a few twists. Use the left and right arrows to
rotate your ship left and right. Use the up arrow to move your ship forward.
Press Space to fire at the asteroids. The numbers "0," "1,"
"2," and "3" are used to change weapon types. 0 is your
default weapon. 1 shoots three shots at a time. 2 shoots eight shots in all
directions. 3 shoots sixty-four shots in a ring around your ship. The more
powerful the weapon, the more energy (the green bar in the upper right) is
used up. When you run out of energy, you cannot fire any shots. You replenish
your energy either by destroying the smallest asteroids or by collecting powerups
(little squares that randomly appear). UPDATED! Shift no longer shoots.
The code has now been fixed to allow you to shoot, turn, and move at the same
time. Also, the energy powerup now gives a lot more energy to make it actually
worthwhile to grab. (That's it...from now on I'm making readme files...)
Civilwar.exe: This program will extract itself
to C:\Program Files\Civil War, but it will not make any shortcuts to the program.
You will have to make a shortcut to the civilwar.exe file contained in that
folder. Instructions are found in the readme.txt file, also in that folder.
NOTE: This program is still undergoing testing. Please report to me
any bugs you find.
Spamsweeper: (Harvey Mudd CS60 assignment)
just like Minesweeper, except there is an "autoplay" button, that
when clicked, deduces the next move to make. Hold Shift and click to flag
a spam (mine), and hold Control and click to use the middle-click/double-click
Windows Minesweeper capability.
Spampede: (Harvey Mudd CS60 assignment)
just like Snake. Instructions found in link.
