In "Little Sawtooth," Huddle frames Michelle's story by telling the story within another. The narrator starts off, in first person, about his own story and then goes into Michelle's story. The story is then expressed in the third person as the narrator describes Michelle's story. This short story is unique than the other stories as a result of great detail. The author used vision (perception) as a tool to tell his story; the reader can visualize the events and actions vividly. Huddle uses vision to keep the author interested and also used flashback to tell Michelle's story.
