Huddle frames the story as a flashback being told in a third person point of view. The story begins in first person, with the narrator saying a little bit about himself. I think this is done to draw the reader in. This worked for me because it made me feel as if he was telling the story personally to me. Once the reader is drawn in, the story switches to third person. This is done so the reader can get an omniscient view of the story. Having the narrator tell the story this way gives us a little insight on some of Michelle's thoughts and feelings. I think that doing this also gave the narrator a chance to fill in some of the areas that were not complete with details.
