About Tau Beta Pi Benefits of Membership Tau Beta Pi gives you recognition and honor. Membership identifies you throughout your life as a distinguished and outstanding engineer. Prospective employers recognize you key as a mark of excellence. Leadership workshops are provided. Tau Beta Pi seeks to broaden the horizons of its members. Their interests in non-technical fields, civic responsibility, and other human and cultural areas are expanded through the activities of the chapters. Over 93,000 subscribers enjoy our magazine, THE BENT. Tau Beta Pi chapters conduct programs which benefit their membership, college and community. Sponsoring lectures, tutoring students, donating books to engineering libraries, and organizing faculty-student events, blood drives, and social events are typical activities.
