China

By Norma Montes

TABLE Of CONTENTS

Introduction

This unit will focus on the contributions made by China and continue to reinforce the framework by teaching the diverse qualities of communities that explain the diverse quality of our own communities.

This is an integrated unit. The objective of this unit is to expose students to the cultural roots of Asian-Americans in our community. By focusing in on a particular country, although China has many cultures within itself, I would like to try to move away from teaching Asia as a single almost generic culture. Every activity includes a reading source.

There is no prescribed order for the following activities.
