Cal Poly Pomona students must drop their courses through BroncoDirect by the last day to drop a class. If eligible for a refund, students should allow up to three to four weeks for refund processing.
Prior to the first day of the CEU Special Summer Session, (June 22 for the 10-week session and July 13 for the five week session), CPP students will be eligible to receive a 100% refund of fees if they drop a class or if their enrollment in the class is cancelled. CPP students will be eligible for a 65% refund if they drop a class on or before the 13th business day of the ten-week session (July 13) or on or before the 6th business day of the five-week session (July 21). Refunds will not be granted after these dates.
Students who drop and add classes during either session will have their fees adjusted based on the number of enrolled units.
The refund for students who are administratively dropped by an instructor due to non-attendance on the first day of the class will be calculated at the 65% refund rate.
Financial aid recipients whose total enrollment is cancelled or dropped will be billed for all financial aid received. For financial aid recipients whose classes are partially cancelled or dropped, their eligibility will be recalculated and they will receive a bill for the amount that must be repaid to the aid program. This recalculation and notification will take place the week of July 27th for the 5-week session and the week of July 20th for the 10-week session. Financial Aid recipients should contact the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships for more detailed information.
Students enrolled in the Special Summer Session who are not Cal Poly Pomona students (non-matriculated) must officially drop their course(s) with the instructor’s signed consent on a Petition form. Forms may be obtained from and must be returned to the College of the Extended University, located in the Center of Training, Technology and Incubation (CTTI) on the Cal Poly Pomona campus in Building 220C, Suite140, by the last day to drop a class. If eligible for a refund, students should allow up to three to four weeks for refund processing.
