Financial Aid 2012

There will be limited financial aid available for summer for continuing CPP students and students admitted for fall.  Both grant and loan funds will be awarded based on eligibility, enrollment status, amount of financial need and priority will be given based on the receipt date of the FAFSA financial aid application and summer aid eligibility form. 

Subsidized and Unsubsidized Student Loans for Summer

Direct Loans will be offered to students this summer who are enrolled at least 1/2 time which is 6 units for undergraduate and credential students or 4 units for graduate students. Both the subsidized and unsubsidized loans (for students who do not demonstrate financial need) will be available for students.  The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships will review files for summer financial aid beginning May 2011.  Check the Financial Aid website for the qualifications for each of the loan programs offered.

Application Process for Financial Aid

  • Current Cal Poly Pomona students:  The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships will notify all current Cal Poly Pomona students who are eligible for summer aid during the month of April/May.  Eligibility is based on the 2011-12 FAFSA application.  Once notified, students will need to complete the summer aid eligibility form and return it for processing.  

These application forms should be submitted as early as possible but no later than June 30, 2012.  Applications received will be processed and financial aid awarded by receipt date of the application.

  • Entering students:   You must complete the 2011-12 FAFSA Application and the summer aid eligibility form to be considered for summer financial aid.  This form must be completed even if you have already completed the 2012-13 FAFSA for the 2012-13 academic year.
