The Amelia Hammond Staff Scholarship was established in 1978 to assist staff members in career development or personal job improvement education.
Eligibility and Requirements for receiving Scholarship Awards:
- Recipients must be staff members who have been employed at the University, Cal Poly Pomona Foundation, Associated Students Inc., or Cal Poly Pomona Federal Credit Union for at least two years of full-time or permanent half-time service
- Recipients have not be awarded this scholarship within the last five years
- Recipients are to use the fund for career development or personal job improvement education which is not covered by released-time or fee-waiver programs
- Courses, either credit or non-credit, may be taken in community colleges, four-year colleges, universities or technical schools. Use of funds in not restricted to classes taken on this campus
- Scholarships are for use in the following semester or quarter of school
