Spinneret is "beta" software. It is not a finished product. Specifically,

1. Its specifications, mode of operation, and details of the page template appearance may change without notice.
2. It may be out of service for repair or enhancement at times other than the published I&IT maintenance windows (although we try to avoid that).
3. There is a small chance that it may be discontinued or no longer supported in the future.

Your use of Spinneret is your acknowledgment that you understand and accept these limitations, that you understand that it is made available to you because of your association with Cal Poly Pomona, as an employee, student, or affiliate, and that you understand that it comes with no warranty.

The good news

Although we are not obligated to do so, I&IT Web Development will assist individuals who have created sites using the Spinneret beta. The web sites created by Spinneret will continue to exist even if Spinneret is discontinued. No content will be lost, the page content can still be updated exactly as before, and the site can even be modified, although not as easily as it could with Spinneret. A site created with Spinneret is as safe from loss as any other web site on the Cal Poly Pomona Intranet.
