Getting Started with Spinneret

What you'll need

  1. A web space on the Cal Poly Pomona Intranet (either your personal web space or a group web space that you can access).
  2. A copy of Adobe Contribute CS3 (if you have the older Macromedia Contribute 3, that will work, too). Individuals taking Contribute workshops may be eligible for a free copy.
  3. Some content to put on a web page.

First steps

  1. If you don't know your BroncoName and BroncoPassword, you'll need to start by finding out what they are. The quickest way to find out during business hours is to call the Help Desk, +1 909 869 6776.
  2. Make sure you know where your web space is (individual or group).
  3. If you have created a personal web site, follow the directions for setting access controls on your web site. If you have created a group web site, it will probably already be visible to users on the World Wide Web, but the access control page explains how to deal with issues there, as well.
  4. Go to the Spinneret application and follow the directions.
