OVERVIEW: Learn methods for finding scientific information in libraries and on the Internet, and basic presentation methods of bibliographic citations.
E-mail account required: For this course you must have an electronic mail account. Cal Poly provides these to all students. If you would like one, please contact Janet Rice in 98-B1-208; be sure to have your Cal Poly ID. She will provide a user name, a password, and instructional handouts on logging on to the computer and using electronic mail (remember to ask for these if she does not include them). If you choose not to use the Cal Poly e-mail, you must have e-mail through another source, such as AOL or an Internet service provider. It is your responsibility to learn to use electronic mail; no instruction will be provided during class time.
