The Academic Senate is recruiting for Academic Senate standing committees members for 2014-15 Interested individuals should submit the Service Opportunities applicatio. THE SEATS ARE AT LARGE AND ALL CONSTITUENTS ARE ELIGIBLE. -- DEADLINE -- UNTIL FILLED

The Standing commitees are:

  • Academic Affairs Committee - TWO SEATS
  • Elections and Procedures Committee - FIVE SEATS
  • General Education Committee - ENV
  • Budget Committee -- BUS(2016) -- THIS SEAT WILL NOT BE AT-LARGE

University wide Elected Committees

  • UNIVERSITY CURRICULUM COMMITTEE A faculty representative is needed to serve on the University Curriculum Committee from the Library/Related Areas(2016) constituency.  The term is for two years.  Interested individuals should submit their name and a brief statement of qualifications to senate@csupomona.edu   DEADLINE --UNTIL FILLED

    CSU FACULTY TRUSTEE

    CSU FACULTY TRUSTEE NOMINATION -- The CSU Academic Senate is beginning the process of seeking nominations for the Faculty Trustee to the California State University Board of Trustees.  The CSU Academic Senate will select nominations at its March 2015 meeting.   Interested faculty members need to review the Criteria for Nominees and provide all documentation as well as the petition (with 50 signatures) to the Academic Senate Office by January 5, 2015 at 5 p.m.

    Semester Conversion Committees

    Semester Conversion Sub-Committee: Academic Advising - Three faculty members are needed to serve on the Semester Conversion Sub-Committee for Academic Advising. The committee will meet monthly beginning Fall 2014. Interested individuals should submit their name and a brief statement of qualifications to senate@csupomona.edu DEADLINE - UNTIL FILLED


University Service Opportunities

IT Governance Instructional Technology Working Group – One representative is needed to serve on the IT Governance Instructional Technology Working Group for Fall 2014.  The meetings for Fall quarter are October 30, November 20 and December 11 from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m.  Interested individuals should submit their name and a brief statement of qualifications to senate@csupomona.edu DEADLINE - UNTIL FILLED

 

First Year Experience Committee – The First Year Experience Committee needs representatives from CLASS and Engineering.  The meetings are held biweekly beginning on October 3, 2014. The meetings are scheduled for 9 -10a.m. Interested individuals should submit their name and a brief statement of qualifications to senate@csupomona.edu DEADLINE - UNTIL FILLED

Student Success Fee Oversight Executive Committee – Two faculty representatives are needed to serve on the Student Success Fee Oversight Executive Committee.  The Committee will meet on October 31 from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.  The committee will conduct an annual review of the nine areas of fee revenue distribution.  Interested individuals should submit their name and the information outlined in the link above to senate@csupomona.eduDEADLINE –UNTIL FILLED.

University Survey Coordination Committee –One faculty member to serve on the University Survey Coordination Committee.  The first meeting will be meeting in early Fall.  Interested individuals should submit their name and a brief statement of qualifications to senate@csupomona.edu -- DEADLINE - UNTIL FILLED.

ACCESS AND COMPLIANCE TEAM (ACT) --Two faculty representatives are needed to serve on the Access and Compliance Team (ACT).  The term is for one year.  The team meets four times a year.  Subgroup meetings might be scheduled periodically. Interested individuals should submit their name and a brief statement of qualifications to senate@csupomona.edu-- DEADLINE - UNTIL FILLED.

 

MPP Review Committees

MPP REVIEW COMMITTEE – JOHN MCGUTHRY, VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER --  –Two full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty members are needed for the MPP Review Committee of John McGuthry, Vice President and Chief Information Officer. The Committee will begin its work this fall and will continue into winter and spring. Interested individuals should submit their name and a brief statement of qualifications to senate@csupomona.edu DEADLINE --UNTIL FILLED (Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at noon)

 

MPP REVIEW  COMMITTEE – SHARON HILLES, DEAN, CLASS – Four full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty members are needed for the MPP Review Committee of Dr. Sharon Hilles, Dean College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences.   The Committee will begin its work this fall and will continue into winter and spring.  Interested individuals should submit their name and a brief statement of qualifications to senate@csupomona.edu DEADLINE - UNTIL FILLED

 


MPP REVIEW COMMITTEE – FRANK EWERS, AVP FOR OFFICE OF RESEARCH – Five full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty members are needed for the MPP Review Committee of Dr. Frank Ewers, AVP for Office of Research.  The Committee will begin its work this fall and will continue into winter and spring. MPP REVIEW COMMITTEE – SHANTHI SRINIVAS, AVP FOR ACADEMIC PLANNING, POLICY AND FACULTY AFFAIRS – Two full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty members are needed for the MPP Review Committee of Dr. Shanthi Srinivas, AVP For Academic Planning, Policy and Faculty Affairs.    The Committee will begin its work this fall and will continue into winter and spring .  Interested individuals should submit their name and a brief statement of qualifications to senate@csupomona.edu DEADLINE - UNTIL FILLED

 

 

Search Committees

SEARCH COMMITTEE –VICE PRESIDENT FOR UNIVERSITY ADVANCEMENT -- –One full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty member is needed for the Search Committee for the Vice President for University Advancement. The first committee meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 12, 2015.   The university would like to make an appointment before the end of spring quarter 2015. Interested individuals should submit their name and a brief statement of qualifications to senate@csupomona.edu by Monday,  November 17, 2014.
