Workshops are an opportunity for students to get supplemental material related to the particular course they are enrolled in. They are facilitated by upper division students majoring in Science or Engineering. Students are encouraged to work in groups in order to stimulate the formation of study groups outside of workshops. Sandra Hernandez, a second year Biology major has been in four workshops so far. “Workshops provide you with extra practice and extra help from facilitators. Working together in small groups provides a greater opportunity for individual attention.”
