GHANA 2008

June 18--July 2, 2008

This program will involve the careful analysis of the impact of culture, politics, and institutional dynamics on contemporary Ghanaian identity.  More specifically, this course will use case studies to heighten, broaden, and enhance student’s knowledge of the politics of the public policy process in Ghana.  The International Field Study course will give students a superb opportunity to collaborate with international students and examine public policies from a comparative perspective.

Earn 12-units of credit in:

  1. CLS 362 - International Field Studies in Ghana (4)
  2. CLS 452 - Political Economy and Business Practices in Ghana (4)
  3. CLS 482 - Ghana and the United States: Cross-Cultural Analysis (4)
  4. Cost includes airfare, housing, food, and tuition fees.

 Pre-requisite: PLS 499 - Ghanaian Politics and Society (4).
(Must be completed in Spring Quarter; class meets Tuesdays 6-9:50 p.m.)
