Industrial Experience

Industrial Engineering Supervisor - Supervised IE Group responsible for Indirect
Labor, Material, Maintenance, Tooling, Material Utilization and the Suggestion Program. Successfully completed new model planning. Achieved first place out of 160 plants in employee Suggestion Program. Developed divisional manpower standards. Appraised employees for annual performance review. (September 1979 - March 1982)

Senior Engineer - Coordinated engineers in manpower control and implementation of workload balancing and simulation system. Assisted Production Manager in work force control. Developed salary budgets for all departments. (October 1978 - September 1979)

Manufacturing/Area Engineer - Provided engineering services for over 700 employees including preparing engineering drawings and sketches to implement facilities and tooling requirements. Supervised testing of new tools and materials in production and quality departments while working with outside vendors. Developed plant and workplace layouts for production and quality departments. (August 1972 - October 1978)

Attended General Motors Institute - In addition to normal engineering curriculum (207 units) the co-op phase involved 16 six-week project assignments in various plant departments. Oral and written reports were prepared for each six-week project. (August 1967 - August 1971)

Consulting Experience

Robb and Associates, Inc. - Performed process capability studies at Smith Tool Company for CNC machining centers. Written reports were prepared and submitted for each machine studies. (June 1984)

General Motors Assembly Division, Van Nuys, California - Completed a thirteen week study of solid waste management for the Industrial Engineering Department Presentations were made to upper management and a written report was submitted. (June 18 - September 7, 1984)

Dunham-Bush, Riverside, California - Conducted a training workshop in Statistical Quality control for Management. The training workshop consisted of three 5-hour sessions. (July 1985)

Van de Kamp's Frozen Foods, Santa Fe Springs, California - Conducted a Statistical analysis of weight variation in frozen fish fillet production. Statistical quality control procedures were set up and a quality monitoring program was established. Findings, conclusions and recommendations were presented in two forms: (1) a management presentation and (2) a written 76 page report. (July - August, 1985)

California State University, Dominguez Hills - Coordinated and taught courses in the Master of Science in Quality Assurance Program. Prepared class schedules, recruited and hired instructors and coordinated site locations. Advised students on graduate projects. (Fall 1988 - 1990)

Topmaster Company, Pomona, California - Analysis of product design. Statistical tolerance analysis. (August 1989)

K & M Company, Torrance, California - Quality, safety and statistical consulting for a medium size manufacturing company. Performed complete analysis of quality activities for organization. (January 1990 - June 1991)
