Phil's Weight Watcher Page
Updated 9/14/2003

I believe that Weight Watchers is the best overall weight loss program for people with mild to moderate compulsive eating problems. Anyway, it worked for me. I lost 57 pounds over an eight month period when I first joined in 1988. I think of WW more as a "wellness" program than a weight loss program or a diet.

It is now year 2003. I kept all the weight off as long as I was attending the weekly meetings (which was about a year and a half). When I didn't attend meetings I put over half the weight I had lost back on. At least I never got back to anything like I had been. I have gotten back to within my goal range. I continue to go to my WW meetings regularly since I learned I need some sort of accountability to myself and have stayed at goal weight for the last four years. I thank my WW leaders for much of the success (especially Ellen Manchester and Suzanne Collins).
