Pic 1 - Before we step on the trail. This picture of our group, just before we stepped on the trail. From left to right are: Jeff, Chris, my sister, Beth, and myself. We got on the trail at 2:30 p.m. Friday afternoon (real late).

Pic 2 - Beth waves as we break camp. This is a picture of my sister, Beth, on the morning after our first night. The first day netted 8-9 miles.

Pic 3 - Beth, Jeff and Chris at trail sign. Picture of three in our group at the point where we leave the North Country Trail and start on the Manistee River Trail (what I called the loop back trail. We are on the westside of the river).

Pic 4 - Beth and Rob at trail sign. This is a picture of Beth and myself on Saturday late morning. Been on the trail for about 1 1/2 hours. We want a small hike out Sunday morning, which is our last day.

Pic 5 - Beth walks though pines. My sister walking through a beautiful set of pines. Picture doesn't do it justice.

Pic 6 - Manistee trail hike\Manistee river, on the NCT side, just before bridge. This is the river, just before you cross the bridge. Note that the trail is right in front of me, right on the edge of the bluff. That is how a lot of the Manistee trail is.

Pic 7 - Manistee trail hike\Everyone on the bridge. This picure was taken on the bridge going over the river, downstream from the Dam.

Pic 8 - Manistee trail hike\Manistee River, just after bridge crossing. This shows where we are at after we crossed the bridge, heading south on the east side of the Manistee.

Pic 9 - Manistee trail hike\Over looking The Manistee on a bluff. In my short time hiking, this is the number one sight I have ever seen on the trail. Looked just like a painting. My heart just dropped.

Pic 10 - Manistee trail hike\Ducks fly down the river, while we make camp. This picture is taken from the door of my tent, as we set up after a very long hike of 14-15 miles.
