2001 PNW Vacation
June 15-19 Klamath Falls

On the way to Klamath Falls from Southern California. Sarah took this picture of Debi looking at Mt. Shasta. This is one of my favorite photos from the trip.
Dad (Harry) opening his cards on Father's Day. We had a nice BBQ for all the Dad's.
(L-R) Russ, Jim, and Phil. Russ and Jim are in the Air National Guard in Oregon and just returned from Poland. They have quite a story to tell about how Jim probably saved a pilot from disaster by finding a critical problem on his F-16. More on that when time permits.
Dad and Gina at the construction site for Hosanna Christian School. Hosanna is where Gina works and Ben attends school. They are building a new campus on a 40 acre parcel they acquired. It is going to be awesome.
A better view of the building structure
Sarah (L) and Ben (R) trying to figure out the foundation at the Hosanna School site.
A nice sunset in Klamath Falls

Phil and Sarah.

On Father's Day we took a nice brunch cruise on the Klamath Belle.

David and Michelle rest on the upper deck of the Klamath Belle while Debi chews them out over something. It was a perfect day for a cruise on the lake.
Brunch was served on the lower deck and was very enjoyable. Everyone was happy. Debi tasted her first crepe.
Sarah and her grandpa on the forward deck. We got to see several bald eagles and their nests on shore while on the cruise. We saw lots of pelicans and other birds also.
Phil & Debi at Crater Lake. It was a nice day. The clouds gave the lake a pretty mirror effect.
One of the best pictures of Crater Lake that day.
This was Debi's first exposure to snow. I made a small snowball which she carried around until it melted.
Debi showing her snowball to Sarah
David at the Collier Logging Museum. This is an old Caterpiller Thirty tractor used to haul logs. The Collier Museum was an awesome collection of logging equipment and historical stuff.
Everyone looking at an old sawmill blade at the Collier Museum.
Fortunately, I found out just before our trip that an old boyhood friend, Rob K., was now living in Klamath Falls. We got together and had a great time. (L-R) Phil, Toni (Rob's wife), and Rob.
(L-R) Phil, David, Russ, Ben, Gina, Harry, Sarah, & Debi outside the Klamath Museum.
Target shooting. Russ takes aim.
  Ben shooting a .22
It was Gina's birthday while we were there so we celebrated. We only put one candle on the cake and no one objected.
Gina's garden. Dad has been helping her get it in shape. It looked very nice. They have several other sections going good also.
