- The blue line is the Wylerbaan
Road. The dark markings indicates the battle front with Germany
being on the right. Lots of fighting went on here.

- The red circle is the approximate
location where Dave was killed based on what I can interpret
from information given to me. The green circle is a closer approximation
based on further information received from Holland in Spring
1999. H Company was in enemy territory and victims of a counterattack.
Dave was killed here on September 27, 1944. His body was left
behind because the unit had to take cover and slip out that night.
He was listed MIA Sept 28, 1944.
