- This modern day map
of the Groesbeek area shows the exact spot (upper right quadrant)
where Dave (also known as "Rosie" to his buddies) was
killed while on patrol September 27, 1944. Just above where he
was killed you can also see the location where the remains of
504 paratrooper Victor Willson were found on March 18, 1988 by
MIA researcher, Benny Overhand. Willson's remains were returned
home and he was buried at Arlington National Cemetary with full
military honors with his family present. Thanks to Benny Overhand
in Holland for providing this map and information.
