Dave's Family
(back to main page)
Dave was single but was the middle child of eleven children. His parents were Polish immigrants. He has five brothers and sisters still living. His youngest brother, Harry, is my father. Dave has fourteen nieces and nephews, one of which is deceased. Three of his nieces and nephews were old enough to remember him before he joined the Paratroopers. My son, David, was named after his great uncle and several other David's in my life. The pictures below are from August 1998. -- Phil Rosenkrantz
Dave's living brothers: (L-R) Harry (Army veteran), Lawrence (WWII veteran), Max, Jack (WWII veteran). Dave's only living sister, Janet (Goldie) is not shown. Dave's brother, Launie, was also a WWII veteran (Navy) who served on the USS Chicago and survived when it was sunk in January1943. Launie died in 1985 at the age of 63.
