Winter 1999 Colloquium - The Winter 1999 Colloquium is titled, "The Effective Engineer". Many important topics related to the actual "practice of engineering" are rarely covered in academic programs. These are "nuts & bolts" topics that affect every practicing engineer at one time or another. The colloquium will again be on Mondays from 4:00 - 5:50 p.m. We will be teleconferencing the presentations with CSU Hayward. Also, several panelists will be participating from the CSU Hayward site.
Winter 1998 Colloquium (web pages created for each presentation) - The theme of the IME 499 Colloquium for the Winter 98 quarter will be topics of interest to young engineers (see below) about starting and maintaining a solid career. Spring 1997 Colloquium - The Spring 97 Colloquium was titled "New Directions in Engineering for the Twenty-First Century" and was a great success. According to most students the panel discussion at the end was the highlight of the colloquium. Student feedback for the revised format was favorable.
Spring 1996 Colloquium - The Spring 96 Colloquium was titled "Ideas that Work". The colloquium was a success considering it was the first try.
