of Alexander Starkey, about 17 years of age. He formerly lived with Jacob Gooding, of New [illegible] in North Carolina, and was taken to Richmond in 1854, and sold to a Southern trader,--since which time nothing has been heard from him. Any information
respecting him will be thankfully received by his father, James R. Starkey, San Francisco.
