During 2013 the IRB office implemented an electronic means for processing human subject research protocols. This site is meant to provide information on the process.
All IRB application forms (also called a protocol) must be submitted electronically to the Office of Research.
HINT: cut and paste from an "old" protocol form into the eIRB.
the protocol can not be submitted without all signatures (PI and all co-PIs) included in the eIRB. These are e-signatures, which means the individual must actually enter the site. Further, this indicates an understanding of -- and compliance with -- the protocol contents and IRB policies.
When the review has been completed, an approval email memo to conduct the research project will be issued under signature of the IRB chair.
CITI training: Enter information using the training database within the eIRB.
NOTE: Training for yourself, advisor, and co-investigators is required for approval of your IRB protocol.
