About the Recipients
Barbara D. Austin is a graduate student in the Master's program in Agriculture with an option in Foods & Nutrition. Her education goals are to eventually complete a PhD degree in Nutritional Biology from UC Davis and to teach at the University Level.
Nahdia M. Kchouri is a graduate student in the Multiple Subject Credential Program. She plans on obtaining a Multiple Subject Credential, a single subject credential in Math, and a Master's in Education. She is passionate about changing the lives of her students. She is planning on working in low socio-economic schools and teaching students that higher education is attainable for them.
