Course Description
Introduction to computer programming of business information systems. Object concepts, programming, the Java language, and integrated development environments. Business application projects. 4 units, 4 hours/week of lectures/problem-solving. May be taken a maximum of two times.

Course Goals*
Students will understand and apply the concepts of the object-oriented paradigm in a business environment
Students will demonstrate a good working knowledge of the syntax of the Java programming language
Students will demonstrate a basic knowledge of computer programming logic using sequence, selection, and iteration
Students will utilize a full-featured, multiple-language programming code editor to develop object-oriented programs
Students will design, code and test object-oriented computer programs that satisfy criteria presented in written program specifications
