Finance will help Cal Poly Pomona streamline our business processes by giving us direct access to the right information at the right time. Specifically designed to meet the demands of not-for-profit institutions, PeopleSoft Financials for the Public Sector (fund accounting) allows use of electronic forms and routing to reduce paper-based records dependency.

Finance Module in the Work Environment:

  • Allow administrators to monitor, administer and report on financial data at every level
  • Eliminate the need for data to be entered and handled multiple times
  • Electornically follow financial transactions all the way through the system utilizing a common database for Purchasing and Accounts Payable posting transactions to the General Ledger

Tangible Benefits for our Campus Community:

  • Detailed department financial reports
  • On-line Inquiry on department budgets, encumbrances and expenditures
  • Extensive drilldown capabilities to view supporting accounting detail
  • On-line status of purchase orders and payments
  • Full integration of Accounts Payable, Purchasing and Human Resources information
