Finance will
help Cal Poly Pomona streamline our business processes by
giving us direct access to the right information at the
right time. Specifically designed to meet the demands of
not-for-profit institutions, PeopleSoft Financials for the
Public Sector (fund accounting) allows use of electronic
forms and routing to reduce paper-based records
dependency.
Finance Module in the
Work Environment:
- Allow
administrators to monitor, administer and report on
financial data at every level
- Eliminate
the need for data to be entered and handled multiple
times
- Electornically follow
financial transactions all the way through the system
utilizing a common database for Purchasing and Accounts
Payable posting transactions to the General Ledger

The Finance
Function Team is headed by Darwin
Labordo, Associate Vice
President of Financial and Administrative Services. Team
members William
Brooks,
Fyle
Cabagnot, Faye
Hatman
and Shelly Montoya began prototyping the
common software code with other CSU campuses in Fall Quarter
1999 and finished their work during Summer Quarter
2000.
Pomona's
Finance team is composed of representatives from Financial
Services, Procurement and Budget. Team members

Viteri,
Brian
Jenkins, Faye
Hatman,
Shelly
Montoya, and Ruth
Carrington are heading the
implementation sub-teams.
Implementation
of Finance began in Septemeber 2000 and went into production
on June 29, 2001.
