The purpose of Business Process Review Sessions is to examine how we do business today.  What are the tasks involved in doing a particular function.  Who participates  in the function.  Who is effected by the function.

Biographical/Demographical Data

  • The purpose of this BPR is to gain an understanding of the biographical/demographical data that we collect, how we collect it, and how we maintain it.  Examples: searching for student records to determine a match, as well as updating/adding/correcting addresses, names, and other personal data. 

Tracking Accommodations

  • The purpose of this BPR is to gain an understanding of the process for requesting accommodations (e.g., ADA).  How do we students request/obtain accommodations?  How do we maintain it, etc. 

Setting Up & Managing Campus Events

  • The purpose of this BPR is to gain an understanding of the process for setting up and managing campus events such as those things that have to do with admissions or recruiting (e.g., orientation, tours)

  • The purpose of this BPR is to gain an understanding of the process for granting Honors/Awards.  Honor's and awards includes things such as president's list, dean's list, etc.

Placing Student Holds

  • The purpose of this BPR is to gain an understanding of the process for determining who gets hold, how holds are set, released, etc. "Holds" in this sense is limited to those holds that impact registration.
