What
is Pi Sigma Alpha?
Founded
in 1920 at the University of Texas, ΠΣА is the national honor society for undergraduate and
graduate students of Political Science, with over 460 chapters established in
colleges and universities in the United States.
The Iota Phi Chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha is currently run by the Political Science Department at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, with Mr. Justin Robinson as President and Dr. John L. Korey as Advisor.
The purpose of Pi Sigma Alpha is to stimulate scholarship and interest in the subject of government by providing tangible recognition to students who have excelled in the field. Another goal is to provide academic and professional resources for both our members and the campus community as a whole. We intend to do this through ASI initiatives, information sessions, forums, and the newly organized graduate school files in the political science department office. We also hope to provide our members and campus community with opportunities to meet new people and engage in thought provoking debates and conversations.
