Fed-Ex/United Parcel Services(UPS) Deliveries
Items received via outside couriers Fed-Ex, UPS and other couriers are considered controllable items requiring a signature, indicating acceptance by the university. Normally these items are delivered by the couriers to Distribution Services between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. These items not requiring special processing, such as Purchase Orders, will be delivered to the department the same day, if the item is received in Distribution Services prior to 11:00 a.m. Items processed with a purchase order, needing property tagging or oversized freight requiring a forklift, may require additional processing time prior to deliver.
Tip: The receiver's department name must appear on the item to insure proper delivery. If a department name does not appear on the item, it will be returned to the vendor for additional information.
To verify the receipt of an item on campus you must know the name of the courier and the item tracking number, available from the vendor. You may track your item by selecting your courier below. Or to verify who signed for a package within your department click here On-Track Online.
For delivery information on purchase order items received by Distribution Service, please call extension 3396 from 7:30 a.m. to Noon and extension 3349 from Noon to 4:30 p.m.
Couriers who pick up on a daily basis include Fed Ex and United Parcel Services. Pick ups are made from the Distribution Services office in the CLA building, room B1-258 at 3:00 p.m. .
You may also include next day items in your normal mail pick up. Items shipped by United Parcel Services that do not require overnight delivery, such as UPS ground, can be included with your normal mail pick up, providing an " authorization to ship U.P.S. " form is completed and attached to the item being shipped.

If you choose to send an item overnight with these couriers, it is recommended that the items be delivered to the Distribution Services office no later than 2:30 p.m.
All items must have an address label, including the shipper department name in the return address affixed to the outside of the parcel.
It is important to remember that items with a post office box (P.O. Box) can ONLY be delivered by the United States Post Office and can not be handled through other couriers.
