Cal Poly Pomona Upward Bound Employment Opportunities
UB/UBMS & the Polytechnic Approach
Upward Bound Programs are dedicated to the Cal Poly Pomona’s polytechnic spirit of “learning by doing,” and service to the surrounding communities. Cal Poly Pomona students (both undergraduate and graduate) are hired during the academic year as tutors for the after school tutorial sessions, as well as for the bi‐weekly Saturday Academy supplemental instruction sessions in SAT test preparation. During the summer, undergraduate students are hired as residential advisors and instructional aides for the 6‐week summer program. Graduate students and Cal Poly professors are hired as summer instructors as well. Volunteer, leadership, and/or community service opportunities are available throughout the academic year and summer months for Cal Poly Pomona students desiring service hours for clubs, fraternities/sororities, or professional organizations. Interested Cal Poly students, or faculty/staff should contact the project director for any of the above opportunities.
