Through practice we can test new concepts in actual conditions, while improving living environments. I try to orient my practice to two areas that sometimes intersect and overlap: sustainability and affordability. Half of all greenhouse gas emissions of anthropogenic come from buildings and I am interested in designing low carbon buildings that reduce our impact on the environment. In addition to this environmental problem, more than one billion human beings still lack adequate shelter and are living in unacceptable conditions of poverty. I believe that everybody has a right to decent shelter, and I have a special interest in housing, especially affordable housing in developed and less developed countries
