Main Buddha Hall
Before entering the MAIN HALL, notice the DRUM and the BELL suspended on each side of the entrnace to the hall.
What are they for?
Enter the MAIN HALL using the SIDE DOORS. Do not use the center door? Find out the reason for this custom.
Sit down on the seats along the back wall while you QUIETLY make your observations. This is a place of prayer and meditation.
What are the THREE REPRESENTATIONS OF THE BUDDHA? What is the significance of the BUDDHAS IN THE WALL NICHES? What is the significance of the
DIAMOND at the main altar? What is the signifiance of the large FISH DRUM at the foot of the main altar?
Observe the actions of the people who come to pray. WHAT DO THEY DO? WHAT ACTIONS DO THEY PERFORM?
When you have completed your observations, leave the main hall through one of the side doors. and proceed to the MUSEUM.
