	Inventions Project The inventions project is team-based. Students will be required to start early in the quarter to formulate ideas for their "invention." Read How Patents Work Final oral presentations about the team's invention will be done on the tenth week and day of the final. There is no final exam in this class. Based on the requirements of the United States Patent and Trademark Office model (see sample) student inventions must be accompanied by the following: an abstract explaining what your inventon claims to do drawings showing how the inventions work a list of similar items that have been filed (patent searches can be made through the USPTO web site a model,working prototype or digital simulation of your invention during the final presentation
