Instructional Methods:
- Team-based student peer teaching using multi-media and computer lab facilities; all students will be assigned to teams for the duration of the quarter; each team will be responsible for a particular section of the course which they "teach" to the rest of the class using the assigned readings, web sites digital sources. Teams work around a computer station generating their assigned tasks and projects;
- Lectures and discussions using the course web site to examine the given themes and topics;
- Simulated scenarios using material models and the various computer-based technologies to test technological inventions including the "invention" project required by student teams
