Syllabus
The course will offer students the opportunity to study nine films directed by Ang Lee.The focus will be on the trans-national and transcultural scope of Lee's directorial canon, and on the different genres, themes and cinematic techniques that are engaged in these films.
Students will be required to apply contemporary film theories, theories of race, gender and power relations to each of the films under study in this course.
