LUNCH & LEARN: FURLOUGHS AND YOUR PAYCHECK

Workshop Facilitators:

This is an informal one hour session where you can bring your lunch and your questions about furloughs.  Payroll Services will try to bring the answers.  Topics to be discussed include:

  • What is a furlough?
  • Can I use my leave credits on furlough days?
  • I work an alternate schedule with Fridays off, so does the furlough apply to me?
  • What is the impact to me if I'm part-time? 
  • What if I am exempt?
  • How does this impact my CalPERS service credit?
  • What if I'm docked?
  • How do I use the Paycheck Calculator to determine net pay?
