Dr.
Boyd-Barrett arrived in the United States to begin work in Southern
California in May, 1998. His wife, Leah, was born in Lawrence, Kansas,
but was raised in France and in the United Kingdom. She is a talented
painter, graphics artist, musician and teacher.
Oliver
and Leah have four children. Claudia, a graduate of Manchester
University (United Kingdom), after some years teaching, writing
and singing in Mexico, currently works for the Miami Herald,
in Miami. Her daughter, Sofia, appeared in February 2004.
Claudia's partner, Israel, is a video documentarist for performers.
Francesca is a graphics designer who settled in California after
completion of her degree at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design
in the United Kingdom. She currently works for the animal rights
organization, PETA. Jonathan studied audio engineering in Hollywood,
and is a freelance composer of electronic music. He divides his
time between Los Angeles and London. The youngest, Daniel, studies
at Community College and freelances as a photographer for rock
bands.
