The Robert Noyce Scholarship Program for Math
and Science Teachers aim is to encourage
talented Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Mathematics
(STEM) majors and professionals
who might otherwise not have considered the teaching profession,
particularly people from underrepresented groups, to apply. Each Noyce Scholar
can receive up to two years of scholarships with stipends of up
to $10,000 per year. Noyce Scholars will be selected by consideration
of academic achievement, under-representation and financial need.
Preference will be given to those seeking a single subject credential
in Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics (not Foundational-Level Mathematics
Credential), and Physics. Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive
basis.
Minimum
Requirements for STEM Undergraduates:
Have declared a major in a STEM discipline;
Have at most 96 units and two years to complete bachelor’s
degree;
Have an overall GPA and a GPA in math, science, and technology
courses no lower than 2.75, preferably with one of the GPAs
above 3.0;
Be a US citizen, national, or permanent resident alien
