The Faculty Center for Professional Development provides support to new faculty to ensure their retention, advancement and success at Cal Poly Pomona.
Check with the Faculty Center about Welcome Days for New Faculty, a program designed to provide you with the information and resources you need for a successful start.

Human Resource Services conducts a weekly orientation designed to welcome new administrative and support staff. This orientation provides important information as well as walks new employees through the sign up process. In addition, it's a great opportunity to meet other new staff members and to become acquainted with Cal Poly Pomona.
The orientation is usually held on Monday mornings in Human Resources' Conference Room, ground floor of the C.L.A. Building 98, in Room B1-31, and runs approximately 8:15 a.m. to 11:00.
Your career at Cal Poly Pomona is important, and so are you! Over the course of your first few months here, you'll learn critical information about benefits, laws, and programs, have the chance to take a campus tour, and hear from experts on everything from safety to information security. You'll even get to have coffee with the President and his Cabinet! Specific information on orientation programs is available from Organizational Development and Training (O.D.T.).
