Les YoungLongtime Cal Poly Pomona administrator and professor Les Young was named Dean of the College of Agriculture in February 2009. Young has a distinguished track record of 32 years of experience and leadership, including more than 20 years as a faculty member, as well appointments as associate dean, interim associate vice president of student services and interim dean.

He holds a bachelor’s of science degree in zoology from CSULA, a master’s degree in bio-science from CSU Hayward and a Ph.D. in Entomology from UC Berkeley. Young’s expertise lies in entomology, insect ecology, biological control and other similar areas. He is a member of multiple organizations, including the Entomological Society of America and the Southern California Entomological Society.
