Randall Lewis
Lewis Operating Corp., Executive Vice President
Randall Lewis is the executive vice president of the
Lewis Operating Company and oversees the sales and
marketing operations. The Lewis Group is one of the
nation’s largest privately held real estate development
companies. Begun in 1955 by Ralph and Goldy Lewis,
Lewis Homes started with a housing tract in Claremont
and grew to include new communities in four states
totaling in excess of 24,000 acres. Since then, the Lewis
organization has built more than 56,000 homes and
10,000 apartments. With 450 employees and more
than $1.5 billion in assets, the Lewis organization has
held firm to the founders’ tradition of quality, integrity
and stability. Randall Lewis is responsible for brand
development and visioning for new projects and so
maintains the tradition.
Lewis is an industry leader in sustainable
development initiatives and promotes healthy living
and education. He was named in the Los Angeles
Times West magazine’s 2006 top 100 influential
people in Southern California; he received the 2006
Champion of the Industry award from the California
Business Properties Association. Other honors include
Builder of the Year from the Baldy View Chapter of the
Building Industry Association and induction into the
California Building Industry Association Hall of Fame.
His executive board service includes the USC School of
Policy, Planning and Development, the UCLA School of
Public Policy and the San Bernardino County Alliance
for Education.
As an NDC member, he is interested in architecture, urban planning and environmental studies. Lewis received his education and earned a bachelor’s in economics from Claremont McKenna College. He and his wife, Janell, have three children.
