driven and witnessed tremendous changes in the way
customers are served and distribution needs are met. In
2004, KKW had $35 million in sales and 280 employees.
Firestone is a former member of the university’s Ambassadors for Higher Education, which is a group of individuals committed to improving public access to higher education and strengthening the connections between communities and educational institutions. He would like to use his transportation expertise and knowledge of business to advance the goals of the university and specifically those of the athletic programs through his NDC membership. This year, KKW Trucking literally advanced the Cal Poly Universities by providing the essential tow service to deliver the student-built float from Pomona to Pasadena for its participation in the annual Tournament of Roses parade.
Moving past driving furniture delivery trucks when he began racing formula cars more than 17 years ago, Firestone has also raced Indy cars for the last eight years. He is a golfer and has been a pilot for 40 years, and he and his wife, Dianne, reside in Yorba Linda.
